The Death Wish film series is a series of five films spanning twenty years from 1974 to 1994 about urban vigilante Paul Kersey.The series, which also includes a 2007 related film, is based on the 1972 novel by Brian Garfield. After killing the accomplices, Paul is ambushed in the basement by Knox, but retrieves an M4 carbine assault rifle from a hidden compartment under a coffee table and shoots Knox dead. At the hospital, Paul recognizes a critically injured Miguel, wearing Paul’s watch stolen during the home invasion. Kersey walks off, stating "Do whatever you have to.". Paul's life is ripped apart by this. Later, Randy goes back to the arcade, with Kersey following him. A possible love interest develops with public defender Kathryn Davis.
